You don't kick someone when they're down. At least not politicians.

He stole a $64,000 ring but he was suffering from extreme stress. But he's gay and a politician and Canadians are generous, at least their judges are.
Despite pleading guilty to stealing an expensive ring, former MP Svend Robinson has been spared jail time and a criminal record because a judge feels the public humiliation and loss of his job are punishment enough.
