Newspaper Circulation Scandal Grows

Another restatement of circulation - this time by the Dallas Morning News.
Belo, based in Dallas, said the Morning News overstated its daily circulation by 1.5 percent and its Sunday circulation by 5 percent.

If history is a judge, this figure will climb. These are the people who want us to trust them to bring us the news.

Meanwhile, figures involved in the Newsday circulation fraud have retained lawyers.
Louis Sito, who headed the circ operation until last year and retired July 19 as publisher of Spanish-language sister paper Hoy, has hired Judd Burstein.
He's an appeals whiz who's represented members of organized crime in criminal cases and boxers such as Lennox Lewis in civil matters.

Judd Burstein. Getting interesting.
