That's how Apple describes the new French law passed by the lower house that would force Apple to make its downloads work on all digital music players and not just on the iPod.
Of course, state-sponsored piracy isn't new in France. In anticipation of the UN scheme to provide low costripoff generic drugs to the Third World, France is building a pharmaceutical firm in Brazil for the express purpose of producing drugs in violation of copyright laws. Brazil is a major player in flouting drug copyright laws.
