While the Globe & Mail loftily throws "alleged" into every third paragraph in their story about the foiled terrorism plot in Toronto, the Toronto Star seems to take the story more seriously. Perhaps because the terrorists most likely would have targeted Toronto.
In any case, the leftwing Star doesn't flinch from publishing the names of those arrested. By comparison, the Globe & Mail as of 9am PT still hasn't published a single name.
1. Fahim Ahmad, 21, Toronto;
2. Zakaria Amara, 20, Mississauga, Ont.;
3. Asad Ansari, 21, Mississauga;
4. Shareef Abdelhaleen, 30, Mississauga;
5. Qayyum Abdul Jamal, 43, Mississauga;
6. Mohammed Dirie, 22, Kingston, Ont.;
7. Yasim Abdi Mohamed, 24, Kingston;
8. Jahmaal James, 23, Toronto;
9. Amin Mohamed Durrani, 19, Toronto;
10. Steven Vikash Chand alias Abdul Shakur, 25, Toronto;
11. Ahmad Mustafa Ghany, 21, Mississauga;
12. Saad Khalid, 19, of Eclipse Avenue, Mississauga.
In addition to those above, 5 juveniles were arrested, their identities protected under Canadian law.
If the past is any indication, the Globe & Mail will wait to see how the story plays in the Washington Post before committing themselves to a storyline most likely to smear the intelligence community and slander the police.
